Behavior Change Procedures in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Workshop Description: Behavior change procedures in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are evidence-based strategies used to increase adaptive behaviors and decrease challenging behaviors across different settings.
In this workshop, we will focus on three key behavior change procedures:
- Token Boards
- Group Contingencies
- Behavior Contracts
Participants will learn the purpose of each procedure, how and when to use it, and common mistakes to avoid. Real-life examples and case scenarios will be discussed to help translate theory into practice.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Understand how token boards can be used to reinforce appropriate behavior and increase motivation
- Learn how group contingencies promote cooperation, peer accountability, and positive group behavior
- Gain practical skills in designing and implementing behavior contracts to support behavior change through clear expectations and reinforcement
- Be able to choose the most appropriate procedure based on the learner’s needs and setting
Please note: After finishing any workshop, you will get a certificate of completion from the (QABA) Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board. If you are an ABA-T or QASP-S, you can get CEUs hours from these workshops!! ABA.byFATIMA is credentialed by the board to provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
