QASP-S Program

The QASP-S credential is designed for mid-level professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related discipline and are working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and autism services.

Professionals holding the QASP-S credential support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities by delivering evidence-based behavioral services under appropriate supervision.

Role of the QASP-S Professional

A QASP-S credential holder may be responsible for the following duties:

  • Delivering direct therapeutic and behavioral interventions for individuals with ASD and related disabilities
  • Providing training and guidance to staff members and families
  • Collecting, reviewing, and monitoring data to track progress toward treatment goals and objectives
  • Supervising entry-level behavior technicians, while working under the supervision of a QBA or BCBA
Eligibility Requirements
Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field, i.e. ABA, education, special education, psychology, social work, or other related professions
Must have completed 188 hours of approved ABA, ethics, and autism coursework, including 8 hours of supervision training
Training must be developed by an accredited institution or master’s level or above professional who is licensed or credentialed in the scope of the subject matter
1000 hours of supervised fieldwork

Applicants must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university for higher education in a related field, i.e. ABA, education, special education, psychology, social work, or other related health professions
